Types and symptoms of diabetes
There are 2 types of diabetes. The vast majority of people with type 1 diabetes are younger and more dependent on insulin.
People with type 2 diabetes are mostly overweight and have made bad lifestyle choices. According to the American Diabetes Association there are many things that can cause the development of diabetes such as poor health and lifestyle choices, heredity, extreme stress, and severe illness or injury.
Diabetes usually develops if your family has a history of diabetes. The common signs and symptoms experienced by someone with diabetes includes but is not limited to frequent urination and hunger, dehydration, rapid weight loss, fatigue, chronic skin and tissue infections, numbness in the feet and hands, irritation of the genital area ,and blurred eyesight. When not properly managed, diabetes could progress into hyperglycemia, which causes frequent bouts of unconsciousness, increased risk for infections, poor ability to heal , complications of the heart and nerve damage, and in some cases may lead to blindness.
Most people who have type 2 diabetes are obese or have made other bad health decisions like improper diet and exercise. The consumption of too much sugar and unhealthy food without getting any of the nutrition your body needs can lead to this disease or make it much worse.
People diagnosed with diabetes should focus on a low-fat high fiber diet, avoid sugars ,and control the intake of fats, carbohydrates, and salt.Daily exercise helps with the effectiveness of insulin. Research shows that Proper diet and nutrition can efficiently help those with type 2 diabetes manage the disease and even prevent those who are diabetes prone from developing the condition.
Diabetes does not yet have an official cure ,but it can be controlled with life-long treatment.
